Church of the Painted Hills (CPH) is an early adopter of being Open and Affirming.
On the wall of our entryway we pronounce our ‘Extravagant Welcome!’ to all who enter.
CPH lives through our still speaking God, and the teachings of Jesus. We are a multi-generational community of people working to address local, state, national, and international needs. We are an Open and Affirming congregation and have been for many years. In this changing society, we hope to bring more focus to marginalized people while expanding our love, compassion, and understanding for them, and letting them know CPH will stand with them.
Church of the Painted Hills is small, but has a generous spirit.
Church of the Painted Hills is a welcoming, warm, friendly, and caring congregation where diversity is valued. This is epitomized by the home-baked bread handed out to individuals worshipping with us for the first time and the many handshakes and hugs handed out before, during, and after worship. We invite the community to join us for annual Italian dinners, pancake suppers, and craft fairs. We have also hosted Christmas teas, fall festivals, and other activities where we gather to share God’s blessings, and a message of compassion for all.
